Born in the forests of Vigeland, Norway, viseMènn are a rock quartet who are as brooding as they are introspective. Formed over a decade ago as an extension of the improvisational project A Crack in Time and the Break of Dawn, viseMènn is comprised of guitarist Lars Olav Mangelrød, Sølve Eggebø on keyboards, drummer Mangar Lofthus, and Helge Corneliussen up front on bass and vocals. Videos featuring their music have racked up millions of views on YouTube, and they have toured extensively in Canada and the U.K., playing venues as prestigious as Liverpool’s esteemed Cavern Club.

viseMènn specialize in a loud, atmospheric brand of “Philosopher Rock” in the tradition of bands like Radiohead and Mew. Their songs are punctuated by pounding drums, plaintive vocals and shimmery guitars. Imagine Sonic Youth crossed with Soundgarden. That might be the best way to describe their unique musical chemistry. Their lyrics are dark and profound in a deeply European way.
